Fields in Abbotsford BC:
The Parks and Recreation Office coordinates booking services for soccer,
football, cricket, rugby, baseball, and slo-pitch. Our fields are
used twelve months per year but each field has a 6 week closure at
sometime during the course of the year. It may also be necessary to
close the fields for play due to adverse weather during winter months
in order to prevent major damage to the turf and to avoid injuries
to players. Fields are inspected every week from October to April.
Field status (either open or closed) is available by contacting the
Parks and Recreation Office at 604-859-3134 after 12 noon on Thursdays
for scheduled games on Saturday and Sunday. When the office is closed,
a recorded message is available at the above number.
Parks Donation Program:
The Parks and Recreation Parks donation program provides a means for
individuals, businesses or organizations to make a donation in the
name of a friend, family, or co-worker to celebrate or commemorate
an occasion. Donations to our parks may be made for (but not restricted
to) park benches, picnic tables, water fountains, trees and recreational
